World Water Week, 16-22 August, 2009, is an annual forum which provides an opportunity for the exchange of views and greater scientific understanding of the issues within global water and water-related challenges.
The forum highlights the present and future challenges, policies, initiatives, research, best practices and developments that have the potential to shape the future of water.
It also focuses on practical thinking and new approaches to dealing with water-related challenges and their impact on the world's environment, health, and economic development.
This year the forum is being held at Stockholm International Fairs, Sweden and explores the following water issues:
