(UNFCCC) will deliver a keynote address at the closing plenary of Carbon Expo at 3:30 p.m. (CEST). The UN's top climate change official will speak about the potential of the carbon market and the status of the international climate change negotiations under the auspices of the UN.
On Thursday, 8 May (12:15 p.m.), Georg Børsting, Chair of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC), will speak on the status of JI.
On Friday, 9 May (10.30 a.m), staff from the UNFCCC secretariat will be joined by the Chair of the JISC and the Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism for a side event on the latest developments in the Kyoto Protocol mechanisms.
Throughout the three days of Carbon Expo, secretariat staff will be available to answer questions about CDM and JI at the UNFCCC booth (D-041).
