Sustainable Innovation Expo to take place at UNEP’s HQ, Nairobi, Kenya

The Sustainable Innovation Expo, brought to you by Climate Action in partnership with UNEP, is running from 20-22nd February at UNEP's headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. The Expo is running alongside the First Universal Session of the Governing Council/ Global Ministerial Environment Forum of the United Nations Environment Programme and exclusively showcases innovative technologies from private sector organisations. These include products that mitigate and adapt to climate change, use natural resources more efficiently, harness sustainable energy and reduce pollution.

The Expo is running alongside the First Universal Session of the Governing Council/ Global Ministerial Environment Forum of the United Nations Environment Programme and exclusively showcases innovative technologies from private sector organisations.These include products that mitigate and adapt to climate change, use natural resources more efficiently, harness sustainable energy and reduce pollution. This is the fourth time that UNEP and Climate Action have worked together to showcase new technologies in the Sustainable Innovation Expo at this gathering of the world’s environment ministers. The organisations will exhibit technologies that can assist governments and their citizens in progressing to more sustainable communities, infrastructures and economies.

Exhibitors at this years Expo include Afval Energie Bedrijf, General Electric, Krinner, Microsoft, Oracle Corporation, Philips, Solea AG and Verne Global. The organisations will exhibit technologies that can assist governments and their citizens in progressing to more sustainable communities, infrastructures and economies.

Just two and half months after the COP18 negotiations, when world leaders gathered in Doha to develop a path towards more sustainable development, and against a background of lingering economic uncertainty, these are key considerations.
