  • Climate Action's Sustainable Innovation Forum 2013, run in partnership with UNEP, has already attracted 100 delegate registrations and will be taking place in Warsaw on November 18.

The Sustainable Innovation Forum 2013 is shaping up to be the premier business conference alongside COP19 in Warsaw (pictured right) and delegate registrations have already reached 100.

Organised alongside the annual UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) and now in its fourth year, the Sustainable Innovation Forum is recognised as the superlative business and government networking event of its kind to take place during COP, and is organised in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme.

Originally launched as the ‘Climate Action Networking Reception’ in 2010 alongside COP16 Cancun, and subsequently held in Durban in 2011 for COP17, the forum was re-positioned in 2012 as the Sustainable Innovation Forum, in recognition of the shift in focus towards a solutions based approach, focusing on the advances in sustainability that are being made possible due to new technologies and innovations.

Consisting of high-level government and private sector panellists via C-level plenary sessions across pivotal areas of development and discussion, the forum offers government and businesses the opportunity to network, develop public-private partnerships and discuss the solutions needed on both sides to accelerate global sustainability.

Innovative policy, finance, technology and leadership are fundamental to achieving a climate neutral future and the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2013 will be bringing together leaders from business, government, finance and NGOs to catalyse innovation with the aim of accelerating green growth and sustainable development.

The Forum will be taking place in Warsaw on November 18 and will generate robust debate and the sharing of ideas. Solutions will be formulated with the aim of turning them into positive actions to climate-proof the post-2015 development agenda. Register your interest in attending the Forum HERE
