CDP, FirstCarbon Solutions announce partnership expansion

CDP and FirstCarbon Solutions announced an expansion of their global partnership on Tuesday and will boost cooperation on climate change and supply chain water disclosures.

CDP, the London-based environmental disclosure reporting organisation, and FirstCarbon Solutions, the environmental, social and governance services provider, have entered their fifth year of partnership and FCS has secured more than 15,600 company disclosures as a global sustainability outsourcing partner.

This year, CDP outsourced climate change disclosures in South Africa, Italy and Japan to FCS.

FCS has also assumed responsibility for scoring water disclosures submitted as part of CDP’s Supply Chain programme, as the exclusive supply chain programme scoring partner.

As a result of the expanded partnership, FCS is scheduled to record more than 5,500 CDP disclosures in 2015.

FCS will retain its status as CDP gold consultancy partner and silver software partner and will also provide CDP performance reviews to companies it scored in 2015,  again serving as lead scorer for CDP’s on-demand services.

In August, CDP approved carbon footprint services provider SCS Global Services as an accredited US Consultancy Partner.

SCS will use its expertise to help firms in their efforts to disclose their carbon footprint and other climate change data to CDP.
