EuroAkadem-Academy for European Management/Initiator and Official Organizer of the Congress are very proud to mention that the International Scientific and Business Congress on Protecting the Climate – A World Joint Strategy is listed in the House of Commons -Environmental Audit - Sixth Report: § 4 Kyoto instruments / International regulatory body for Carbon Markets.

In response to the Open Letter of the 1st Congress addressed to Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Director-General of the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), it was suggested to hold the 2nd Congress as a joint special event during the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit 2009 (DSDS 2009).
The 2nd Congress is scheduled from 3rd to 4th February 2009 in New Delhi, India. The theme of the 2nd Congress is planned to become an annual event in India.

Dr Rajendra Pachauri is the Patron of the Congress and will participate in person with other dignitaries at the 2nd Congress. The Congress anticipates broad support from political, business and scientific leaders engaged in environmental activities.

The goal of the 2nd Congress is further development and transfer of clean technologies including focus on renewable energy, as well as the creation of a localisation program in India with the emphasis on private business and education with subsequent strategy transfer to other developing countries.

The Congress agenda includes panels on Solar; Wind & Geothermal; Automotive, Transport Fuel Sector, Bio-Villages/ zero-carbon buildings; Aviation and Shipping, Education as well as Innovation in Helping to Reduce the Health Risks of Global Warming.

“For the post-2012 period, we need new and enhanced mechanisms for the development and transfer of climate friendly technologies. The private sector will be the main vehicle to implement technologies transfer. Their experience and expertise should be fully used in the future climate regime” says Mr. Jukka Uosukainen, Chairman UNFCCC Expert Group on Technology Transfer (EGTT), the Facilitator and the Key Speaker of the Congress.


EuroAkadem believe that such vision for the future will support the further development of the World Joint Climate Protection Strategy initiated by the 1st Congress as well as increasing new economic and social opportunities for the developing countries with a positive input toward global change.
