EU companies to showcase clean tech on ASEAN business mission

40 EU businesses will travel to South East Asia in October to showcase a range of renewable energy technologies

40 businesses from across the European Union (EU) will travel to South East Asia in October to showcase a range of renewable energy technologies in a bid to secure new business partnerships with regional organisations.

The SMEs from 18 different countries will travel to Singapore and Malaysia, from 27-31 October, to present innovative and high technology offerings in a number of sectors, including biogas, biomass, energy conservation and efficiency, solar power generation and optimisation.

Dr Michael Pulch, EU Ambassador to Singapore, said: "We have chosen 'clean technologies' for this inaugural mission to emphasize how much Singapore -and ASEAN at large - have advanced both economically and ecologically. There is a growing market here for clean technology solutions. The SMEs that we have selected are amongst the best the EU has to offer in this field. They will showcase technologies ranging from energy management software to advanced materials for construction and green building applications".

This first business mission of the 'Business Avenues to Southeast Asia' programme will centre on a two-day bespoke business exhibition held on 28 - 29 October 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands, alongside the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW).

The SMEs will then travel to Malaysia where a series of business-to-business meetings have been set up with local counterparts at the Hilton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, on 31 October 2014. Further to these business matching opportunities, the companies from the EU will benefit from sector expert presentations and specific site visits in each country.

Companies from the biogas sector that will be participating in the first business mission to ASEAN include Binowa GmbH; Bioprocess Control Sweden AB; Hermann Sewerin GmbH; OWS nv; Schmack Carbotech GmbH; and Thoeni Industriebetriebe GmbH.

Representatives from the biomass industry include Neuson Ecotec GmbH and Scheuch GmbH with and power generation companies will also be participating including Aedilis UAB; BOSAL Emission Control Systems; NVMOTORTECH GmbH; SolarMonitoring s.r.o.; and SWH SETS.

Co-generation technologies will be presented by Combustion y Secado Ingenieria, SAU and Compact Power Plant Products GmbH and the energy conservation sector will be well represented by ADREM INVEST; Andritz Energy and Environment; Croft Filters Ltd; eSight Energy Ltd; Evolution Energie; HeatMatrix Group; HyGear; Skeleton Technologies OU; VDL Klima; Via Solis UAB.

The energy efficiency companies that will be showcasing their solutions include ALCHIMICA SA; Ensto Finland Oy; Neopor System GmbH; NETCELER; Plugwise BV; Renson NV; RTONE; SC Optimedia SRL.

Solar power companies that will be participating include Aria Technologies; Caleffi Spa; DIMAS SA; GreenGo Energy A/S; GreenPowerMonitor; Kingspan Environmental Ltd; SIEL SPA; SOLVIS d.o.o.; SVCS Process Innovation s.r.o.
