Solar Nexus International is a US based value-adding distributor of complete solar power systems for off-grid and grid-backup applications in the developing world.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Solar Nexus International is committed to mitigating climate change through fostering the transition to a global low-carbon economy. Every system we install lowers the demand for fossil fuels. We make the same commitment at home—our off-grid manufacturing plant is operated off micro-hydro power electricity, and the super-efficient building is heated by a biomass furnace.
Our commitment to doing good for the environment is paralleled by our desire to do good for the communities where we do business. Solar energy education, installer training and customer support is an essential part of our business model. Our "Nexus Certified" training programs for solar dealers and installers help ensure installation quality and system longevity, but also develop market infrastructure and technical capacity for the solar electric industry in emerging markets worldwide.
Company Innovation:
The core of our integrated systems is our line of pre-engineered power centers. These "Nexus" power centers contain all the electronic components required for the safe and efficient operation of the solar power system, including inverters, charge controllers, circuit breakers, properly sized wiring, and so on. We supply them in different sizes to handle various levels of electrical input, storage, and loads.
Our complete system packages come with all the specialty parts required for a professional installation, and they include installation and operation manuals written for a novice through advanced audience, and for people with limited written language literacy
We are developing an innovative new wireless communication system to allow many geographically distributed systems to be monitored and controlled through a centralized network. The NexusNet will enable project developers and funders to manage regional scale rural electrification projects
By using our pre-engineered systems, project developers will reduce design time, lower installation costs, and be assured of getting high-quality, safe systems designed to first-world electrical standards, reducing risk to people and property. Additionally, our operation manuals and placards will give end users the information to run their systems properly, which will extend the usefullifetime of the systems.
