Following Mexico’s 2013 energy reform, Nacional Financiera, already has long-term finance schemes in place.

These are to help finance Mexican projects to participate in the opportunities opening up as a result of the energy reform.

For the next 15 years, for energy alone, Mexico will require large infrastructure investments for production, transportation and distribution purposes.

To this end, Nacional Financiera, Mexico’s main development bank, is committed as the energy reform’s financial institution, not only in relation to oil production, but to all types of generated renewables.

In particular, Nacional Financiera will prioritize renewable energy sources.
