Metso's Power business line provides complete solutions that enable conversion of biomass into a valuable form of bio-energy in the customer specific business environment.

We offer integrated, full-scope solutions for producing energy from solid and liquid multifuels. Solutions encompass biomass-fired power boilers, complete turn-key biomass-fired power and heating plants in small and medium size, black liquor recovery boilers and evaporation plants for the pulp industry that are complemented with lifecycle service offerings. We also offer solutions for conversion technologies from fossil fuel to biomass. Newest additions to product portfolio are various gasification solutions.

With about 1800 employees, we operate on all continents. We have staffed offices in Finland, Sweden, United States, India and Brazil. The net sales of the Pulp, Paper and Power segment were €3,014 million in 2012, Power share of this is approximately about one-quarter.
