Sustainability: part of our genetic footprint
Océ N.V. is a leading provider of document management and printing for professionals. Océ has a long history of environmental awareness and continues to take an innovative approach to sustainability.
Back in the 1870s Océ founder chemist Lodewijk van der Grinten investigated the quality of drinking water from pumps in the Netherlands and worked on identifying sources of pollution to water supply.
In 1927 Océ introduced a diazo copying process for technical drawings, unique for its time in being ammonia-free and “environmentally friendly”, long before the term was coined.
Today Océ continues to develop innovative technologies that reduce our own eco-footprint and that of our customers. These include the Océ Gemini™ Instant Duplex technology for reliable double-sided printing that reduces paper consumption. And the new Océ CrystalPoint™ technology for wide format color printing on plain and recycled paper with no ozone emissions.
Our track record in sustainability not only inspired us yesterday but drives us today and will guide us tomorrow. Concern for the environment and operating in a sustainable way is quite simply part of our genetic footprint.
