Ministers for the Environment and Energy, as well as senior officials from over 140 countries met in Nairobi, Kenya between the 18th and 22nd February 2013 for the Global Ministerial Environment Forum.
This important summit is convened annually by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as the primary and most senior forum for Energy and Environment Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Cabinet Officials and other high-level opinion formers to discuss the latest issues relating to the global environment, particularly in relation to increased sustainability and climate change.
For the fourth time, Climate Action and UNEP ran the 'Sustainable Innovation Expo' at the summit. The Expo exclusively showcases innovative technologies (either currently in use or in development stages) from up to 20 private sector organisations that can assist governments and their populations in progressing to more sustainable communities, infrastructures and economies.
